| Factory default setting | ✓ operates in this voltage range |
- Modes:
- In CONSTANT (LOW) mode, continuous operation in voltage range
- In WINDOW mode, operation suspended during battery charging (e.g. while engine operating)
- In HIGH mode, operation only during battery charging
Auto-selection of operating voltage:- Megapulse continuously senses the operating voltage, and presumes the battery voltage as shown in the table above
- At 80% DOD, operation is suspended grey lines in table. A further voltage drop transitions to a lower battery voltage
- As the voltage increases, the reverse process occurs as each voltage range is traversed
- The mode selected using the 'Mode' button will be remembered during transitions from one voltage range to another
Built-in tests:
| Built-in test | Test procedure | Fail | Pass |
| Load | 30A load applied, check volt drop after 5ms | Vdrop > 2v | Vdrop < 2v |
| Batt V | Measured every 30 secs |

Megapulse specification (Mk.4 ver.2)
| Model | Voltage thresholds | Built-in tests | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mk.4 | Low | High | Window | Load | 80% DOD | Batt V |
| Vcutoff | Vthresh | Vwindow | Vsoc | |||
| 6 v | 5.3 v | 5.6 v | ✓ | |||
| 12 v | 10.5 v | 12.8 v | ✓ | ✓ | ||

| Factory default setting | ✓ test implemented |
- Modes:
- In LOW mode, Megapulse powers down below Vcutoff
- In HIGH mode, Megapulse powers down below Vcutoff and suspends operation below Vthresh
- In WINDOW mode, Megapulse powers down below Vcutoff and suspends operation above Vwindow
- Use magnet to switch Megapulse between modes: Low (green LED) and High / Window (red LED).
Magnet is effective only when Megapulse is operating.
Power-up and auto on/off:- After power down, Megapulse automatically starts operation above Vcutoff
- After power down, Megapulse always powers up in default mode
- After suspension, Megapulse resumes operation automatically in the same mode as before
Flashing LED significance:- 6v, 36v, 48v battery status: OK (green LED), 80% DOD warning (red LED) at Vsoc
12v, 24v previous load test: OK (green LED), failed (red LED) - red+green LEDs flash every 30 secs: performing voltage check
Built-in tests:
| Built-in test | Test procedure | Fail | Pass |
| Load | 30A load applied, check volt drop after 5ms | Vdrop > 2v | Vdrop < 2v |
| 80% DOD | Determined from the battery voltage | < Vsoc | > Vsoc |
| Batt V | Shut down if battery voltage drops below | < Vcutoff | > Vcutoff |
